Korça Region
Korça is one of the largest and most important cultural and economic centers of Albania, located in the southeastern part of the country.
Korça is a very good base for exploring many tourist spots located in the nearby mountains like Voskopoja, Dardha, Vithkuqi and Boboshtica. These villages are well known for providing the opportunity to practice many sports and outdoor activities. The area is also famous for the Byzantine churches of Vithkuq and Voskpoja, whose walls were painted by famous medieval Albanian painters. Near Korça you can visit Lake Prespa (which is the largest National Park in the country), Drenova National Park, the Illyrian tumulus of Kamenica, etc.
