Day 1:
 Tirana- Pick up at Tirana airport and transfer to Hotel
Visit the National Historic Museum in Tirana which offers an in depth introduction to Albanian history. Traditional Albanian restaurant suggestions for dinner will be given. Overnight in Tirana.
Day 2:
 Tirana – Kruja- Lezha –Shkoder
Start the day exploring Albanian capital. We visit Skanderbeg Square, dedicated to Albanian national hero, the Mosque of Ethem Bey, one of the oldest buildings in Tirana, and the Archaeological Museum among other sites. We then head to Kruja, one of Albanias most important towns due to the part it played in resistance against the Ottomans. Visit the Skanderbeg Museum and castle as well as the old bazaar. Today lunch will be included and the opportunity to eat some traditional food in Kruja. Later we continue to Lezha in the north west of the country where we visit the mausoleum of Skanderbeg and the castle before heading to Shkoder. Shkoder is one of the oldest cities in the Balkans and was once a capital of the Illyrian state. We visit its old bazaar, cathedral and mosque before heading to Rozafa castle for spectacular views of the city, lake and the surrounding mountains. Overnight at Rozafa Hotel 4* or similar.
Day 3:
 Natural Wonders of  the Koman Lake and the Valbona Valley
Very early in the morning we will drive to Koman where we will take the ferry which passes through the spectacular canyon of the Drini River. We will continue by car along the beautiful river of the Valbona valley. The day starts with the transfer to Koman, where our ferry ride begins (important to note that the ferry trip depends on the water level of the lake). The ferry ride across Lake Koman allows you to see some spectacular scenery, not unlike a Norwegian fjord winding its way between high cliffs and towering peaks. We will leave the ferry in Fierza, from where the trip will continue to Valbona. Afterwards the road runs through the valley, along the Valbona River, surrounded by wild and beautiful natural panorama and the rugged mountain peaks of the Albanian Alps, up to the village of Valbona. Accommodation in hotel or guesthouse in Valbona village to relax and enjoy a delicious meal.
Day 4:
 Valbona –Prizren - Berat
We cross the border into Kosovo and drive to the city of Prizren, probably the most attractive town in Kosovo with superbly preserved buildings from the Ottoman era. We visit the castle which is one of the oldest in the Balkans (almost 3 millenniums), built to protect the city from attacks, the ornate Bajrakli Mosque and the old Turkish Hammam among other sights. Prizren is an absolute highlight of any visit to Kosovo and to see the old houses of the old town in low light as the sun sets is a delight. After lunch, drive to Berat/UNESCO. Overnight at Tomori Hotel or similar.
Day 5:
 Berat -Apollonia-Vlora (jonian riviera)-Saranda
After breakfast visit the Castle and the Onufri Museum. Berat castle is of particular interest as people still live within its walls in their traditional houses, as have their ancestors for centuries. The castle used to have over 40 churches of which 7 still remain, including one turned into Onufri Museum. Leave Berat and the tour proceeds to the Vlora On the way we stop at the ancient city of Apollonia situated on the famous Via Egnatia - one of the most important cities in Roman times. Afterwards we continue to Vlora. After Lunch,continue to Saranda. Drive on the spectacular Albanian Riviera looking down at the Ionian Sea. Overnight in Saranda, Accomodation in Brilant Hotel 4* or similar.
Day 6:
 Butrint – Gjirokastra (UNESCO) – Permet
In the morning, continue to the ancient city of Butrint a UNESCO world heritage site and the most important archaeological discovery in Albania. Apart the beautiful antique ruins it has the added benefit of being situated in a beautiful peninsula, rich in flora and fauna. After the visits drive to Gjirokastra, a UNESCO site and museum town with beautiful and very distinctive architecture. Visit the medieval Castle which used to be a political prison during the communist dictatorship and the Ethnographic Museum which is also the house the Albanian dictator was born in. After lunch, transfer to Permet, known as “Flowers City, the tour proceeds along Vjosa River where you’ll see the beautiful canyons of Kelcyra outfall. Dinner in local family where we will have some special Raki and where you taste all the traditional specialties; like Japrak and Gliko in family restaurant. Overnight in Permet. Accommodation in 3* Hotel.
Day 7:
 Permet – Durres (Skanderbeg cognac factory ) Tirana.
After breakfast we continue to the Durres. This port city has the largest Roman Amphitheatre in the region, dating back to the 2nd century which we will visit. Lunch and degustation the Skanderbeg factory, where the famous Skanderbeg cognac is produced and where we can taste this delicious drink. Drive back to Tirana for our final night where you will enjoy a farewell dinner with traditional food. Accommodation in 4* Hotel. Overnight in Tirana.
Day 8:
After breakfast, free time to explore Tirana, and airport transfer for your return flight home.
