Shkodra (or Shkodër) is a town and municipality in Northwestern Albania and the center of the district and district by name. It is one of the oldest cities in Albania, with a history of thousands of years of residence in the city and province.

The municipality, which lies opposite the Albanian Alps, is in the details of the Adriatic, and creates after the territorial reform in 2015 merging the previous units of Ana Malit, Bërdicë, Dajç, Guri i Zi, Postriba, Pulti, Shala, Shoshi and Velipoja.
