01.

Arrival in Albania (20 km)

Meet and assisted by our representative in arrival. Transfer to Tirana, visit in the ex- communist quarter where you can have a coffee into the most panoramic bar which is constructed  on a rotator stage of the 15th floor into a new building called “Sky Tower”. Overnight in  3* Hotel, Tirana.

Komani Lake Boat Tours /Shkodra (180 km)

The departure is at 06:00 am,and the arrival in Koman at 09:00 am,after a 40 min sail we arrive

at Peace Island, enjoying one of the most beautiful views in Europe, During the sail time we make a few stops at different characteristic stations before arriving at our Guesthouse, in front of the “Island of Peace”, in Berishe that is the most attractive part of the lake. 

After these exploring and entertaining tours, around 13:00pm, we all gather to eat lunch at the Guesthouse, with traditional foods and drinks, after which you can also enjoy seasonal fruits.

After a small break, a coffee and some photos, we get ready to return with the Ferry, around 14:45 pm, which will land there particularly to pick us up around 15:30 am.

While the departure from Koman is at 15:30 pm and arrival in Shkodra around 17:030 pm.

Sightseeing tour in Shkodra is an ancient city founded in the fourth century B.C. as the main center of the Illyrian Label tribe and was originally named “Scodra”. Shkodra is one of the main centers of Albanian culture and history. Visit to Rozafa Castle and it’s museum to learn about the legend of the woman who was walled alive during the construction for the castle. The castle has been built in the II Century BC.

Upon arrival depending on time in disposal check in Hotel.

Dinner and overnight in hotel Rozafa 4* or similar  hotel 4* .

Shkodra -Kruja-Durres-Berat (200 km)

Morning leave Shkodra,the trip continues to the historic city of Kruja, where you’ll visit The Medieval Castle, the Museum of our National Hero Gjergj Kastrioti Scanderbeg and the Ethnographic Museum.

Kruja: Home of Albania’s National  and most important hero, Scanderbeg, whom in the 15th century successfully kept the Turkish at bay for over thirty years.

A stop at the Old Bazaar where you can have handmade souvenirs shopping.

Departure from Kruja to the coastal city of Durres which is known since the year 627 BC with the name of Epidamnus, later the name of the city became Dyrrah.

In the afternoon you’ll visit the fortress of the city build in the IV-V century BC Roman Amphitheatre with the capacity of 20.000 spectators and the Venetian tower.

Drive to Berati, part of UNESCO.

In afternoon sightseeing tour of Berat city which is built alongside the Osumi River, the city lies by the foot of the Tomorri Mountain, considered in antiquity as a sacred place. Named, “The city of one thousand windows”, Berat has three characteristic quarters, Mangalem, Kala (the castle) and Gorica, and is described as a rare example of a well-preserved Ottoman city located in central Albania. Part of the city is the castle, which was built in the thirteenth century, but the origins of the site date back to the fourth century B.C. The center of the castle quarter is rich with many Byzantine churches; most of them unique for the wall paintings, icons and the values they hold. The cathedral of St. Mary houses the Onufri National Iconographic Museum. Accommodation in 3* Hotel. Traditional dinner. Overnight in Berati.

Berat-Vlore-Sarande. (230 km)

In morning, visit to the castle build on the hills of the city, Onufer Museum, Saint Trinity Church, Saint Nicolas Cathedral and museum quarters of Mangalemi and Gorica.

Leave Berat for Apollonia to visit the 6th century BC ruins.

Apollonia Archeological Park, which is among the largest in the Adriatic basin and the most mentioned among 30 other cities with the same name, from the antique time. It was established around the beginning of the IV century BC.

Apollonia’s ruins were discovered in the early nineteenth century.

Butrint –Gjirokastra –Permet  (130 km)

After breakfast drive to Butrinti.

This will be a day which will be dedicated only to cultural visits and beauties of Albanian nature.

During this day we will be able to visit the ancient city of Butrint. The archaeological site of Butrint’s National Park has an area of 15 hectares and is located at a height from 30 to 50 meters above sea level. This ancient city is a jewel of archeology, listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO. In an exceptional environment between the lake and the sea, the Hellenic style buildings are a museum that contains archeological restored traces.

LEAVE Butrinti and drive to Gjirokaster, on the way stop at BLUE EYE 

Blue Eye, a magical place, this source of groundwater is surrounded by woods and enjoys its name of blue color, like the colored part of the eye. This is one of the most beautiful natural curiosities of Albania.

Our journey will lead us to the town of Gjirokastra, differently called as the stone city.  City of Gjirokastra is included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO in 2005, as one of the few surviving examples of commercial cities in the Balkan’s Ottoman style. We also will have the opportunity to visit the city’s fortress. Visit in traditional house in Gjirokastra.

The Castle of Gjirokastra, associated with the city of Gjirokastra, is mentioned for the first time as a city and a castle in 1336.

In afternoon following the trip to Permet. Accommodation and dinner in Alvero Hotel 3* or similar.

Permet-Korce (140 km)

Breakfast in the hotel   / Meat the entire group at hotel lobby for departure trip.

Before leaving Permet, following via Korca, make a stop  to visit Birra Korca factory brewery and lunch a beer garden. (Extra payment to be considered)

Korca – It is the largest city in the South – Eastern part of Albania. It is situated at the foot of Morava Mountain.  It became an important trading and handicraft center in the 18th century due to the development of trade with neighboring regions. The museum of Medieval Art is in Korca. It presents the material culture of the Albanian people. Interesting is also the first Albanian school, opened in 1878, houses this museum. Korca-Tirana (170 km)
