Itenerary: Tirana-Kruja-Berat-Gjirokaster-Butrint-Sarande-Vlore-Apolonia-Durres

Day 1 : Arrival in Albania Transfer to Tirana,

Meeting the guide and assistance in arrival. Transfer to Tirana Capital, sightseeing tour ,starting from the Skanderbeg square.

Visit in the National History Museum with rich objects that prove the long history, E`them Bey Mosque, Clock Tower etc. Then continue to the main boulevard where are found the different ministries, Academy of Fine Arts, Main University etc.

Accommodation in hotel 3*.Dinner optional overnight in Tirana.

Day 2. Tirana-Kruja-Berat (165 km)

In the morning transfer to Kruja medieval town. This is one of the most visted towns in Albania also for the reason because its history is closely realted with the national hero Skanderbeg. Visit in the castle houseing the national Historical museum and the Ethnographic museum to get more info about the tradtions of the area,free time at the typical bazaar for souvenir shopping.

The tour continues to Berat which is part of UNESCO world heritage, and which is known as “the city of one thousand windows” with 2400 years of history .Accommodation in Hotel 4 star . Dinner optional, overnight in Berat.

Day 3Berat & Gjirokaster (Unesco World Heritage)- (165 km)

After breakfast visit to the castle, built up on a rocky hill 260 m above the sea level. Churches here have survived within its

powerful stony walls. With interest, is the church, which preserves wooden-engraved iconostasis, housing

the “Onufri” museum,the visit proceeds to the museum quarter Mangalemi and Gorica,

The tour proceeds to to stony city of Gjirokastra,UNESCO’s world heritage. Visit at the fortress, built in 4’Th century, the National museum of Weapons, the church in the old Bazaar, the characteristic shops of Gjirokastra. Accommodation in hotel 3* Dinner optional, overnight in Gjirokastra

Day 4. Gjirokastra-Butrint/ UnescoWorld Heritage -Saranda (85 km)

After the breakfast proceed to the ancient city of Butrint UNESCO World heritage, visit to the Acropolis which belongs to the

VIII ’th century BC, the Asklep Temple (the healing god ) of IV’ th century BC, the Gate of the Lake of IV century BC, the Roman theatre of III century BC, Agoraja

the main trading center of the city, the gymnasium, a holy pagan place. Continue to Gjirokastra. Stop, to visit the Mesopotamian Monastery, Saint Nicolas church which belongs to Byzantine period. Lunch in Kasamil,after lunch continue to Saranda, here you’ll learn about the ancient history of this city known since the III century BC with the name of Onhezmi. In the evening visit to Lekursi castle from where you’ll enjoy a charming view of Saranda bay and the island of Corfu, 9 km away from Saranda. Accommodation in hotel 4 *Dinner optional,overnight in Saranda.

Day 5. Saranda-Albanian Riviera-Vlora (130 km)

After the breakfast in hotel, the trip proceeds along the Ionian seashore or as known Albanian Riviera is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and unspoiled regions in Albania. short visit to Porto Palermo bay,the castle of Ali Pasha

Stopover to Himara city and Dhermi, a large and beautiful village with about 30 old churches picturesquely placed on the rough mountainside. Afternoon arrival to Vlora which is known since IV century BC with the name of Aulona. Visit to indipendence museum and Muradie’s Mosque build in 1542 by architect Mimar Sinani who is even the architect of Sulejmanie mosque in Istanbul. Accommodation in hotel 4 *.Dinner optional, overnight in Vlora.

Day 6. Vlora-Apolonia-Durres (150 km)

After the breakfast you will proceed to the archaeological park Apollonia, achieved its zenith in the 4th – 3rd centuries B.C. In the first century B.C., Octavian Augustus studied philosophy there until he heard news of Caesar’s murder in the Senate and went on to become the next Roman emperor.Stopover in Ardenica Monastery

Afterlunch you will proceed to the ancient city of Durres, that is also the most important seaport in Albania. Visit the Amphitheatre, the biggest in the Balkan Peninnsula (capacity 20.000 spectators) with a rare wall mosaic, which belongs to the 2nd century A.D. Accommodation in hotel 4*.Dinner optional, overnight in Durres.

Day 7 : Departure from Albania.

After breakfast at the hotel, free time and leisure until departure.Transfer to Mother Teresa” airport,depart from Albania.
